Just thought that I would do something different for the "Self Portrait" assignment. I tried to use my cheap ol' paintball gun but I didn't have any CO2 left so I Just punctured the balls and let them bleed out. Set it all up on a tripod and timer. Plus a whole lot of tape so I knew where to place everything.

I like pictures 1 and 2. By looking at the shadows behind you it looks like these pictures were taken around 3 in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI guess my only critique/ question is "why the high ISO?" were you going for a grainy look? Regardless, it's has a good look and I like the wrinkled sheet in the Background.

I actually shot at around 4ish. So I had to bump up the ISO to try and bring in more light. But I was kinda of going for the grainy look. In a way to add some age to the photo. Where I was sitting in my backyard I lost a lot of light I was looking for. So I had to work with what I had and just bumped up my ISO.

I like it. Number ones my favorite. All the shadowing in the corners kinda silhouettes the photo nice. maybe delay your shutter speed a little longer next time to get more light, If you can stand still long enough.

I like the concept and I think No.2 delivers it the message best. Good stuff, Mark!
ReplyDeleteThat's very creative as well. I like the first.
