Group Photo/ Caleb

So this isnt what I had in mind for myself when I came up with the assignment, but it was too good to pass up. I know I only focused on the vocalist from the group but he was the most animated. These are photos of Travis Meeks from the group "Days of the New"

Strike-Mark

f/4.5, shutter: 1/20th, ISO 1000
I know my post is a little late... But hey, better late than never right.
So my theme is "Strike" Force. I figured since I have the gear. Why not!
I wanted to go for the Journalistic/Super Grainy/Raw kind of feeling. I didn't use a flash or anything. I actually went out to Home Depot and picked up a $9 flood lamp for lighting.
Figured I'll get creative with a cheap budget.

Strike - Aries
Geeez... Why did I pick this assignment!!! I have to admit this subject had me thinking for the last two weeks. Thinking outside of the box, I chose to create these two images to signify the striking pain that we feel in our hearts when life doesn't go our way. *edit* looking back at the two, I should've shot at a higher ISO level to obtain a grainier look.
Life is like photography, we need the negatives to develop!!
For both shots I bounced the 580ex II to a reflective umbrella from right @ 1/16 power.

ISO 125 * 90MM * F/8.0 * 1/100 SEC

Strike (Joe)
Well, I could only think of 2 shots for this assignment. Here's my two!
1/60
39mm
ISO 100
It just so happened my son has a bowling set perfect for "Strike"! Used the layers and mask on my editing (thanks to Mark and Aries) to add a splash of color. The set had 3 different colors so i wanted to show each color.
300mm
ISO 400
This one took about 20 shots. I wanted to get it as soon as the match caught on fire. I wanted to blurred moving effect so I put it on a low shutter speed. I used my Tamron Macro lens on tri-pod and timer for this shot. No editing.
